Sometimes going under the hood of your car can be a little bit overwhelming. But have no fear! Here is a simple how to for adding windshield washer fluid to your reservoir when it runs low.

Step one: Open the driver’s side door. Look approximately 6 inches up from the floor on the left hand side for a lever with a “2x” symbol on it. Pull the lever two times until you hear the hood latch pop open.

Step two: Walk to the front of the car and lift the hood up. The hood will stay up for you.

Step three: Locate the blue cap with the picture of the windshield on it and open it.

Step four: Read the directions on the bottle of windshield washer fluid to see if it it already diluted and ready to be used or if it is a concentrate and needs to be mixed with water. Once this is determined, pour the mixture into the reservoir where the cap has been lifted. Pour the mixture until you can see it, about 3 inched below the top of the tube.

Step five: Close the cap. Gently place the hood down making sure it is securely shut.

Step six: Motor on happily.

When your windshield washer fluid runs low, top off your reservoir with ease!
